He was a user of ByLock, an encrypted messaging application exclusively used by FETO members. He communicated via ByLock using the mobile phone number subscribed under his name.
He was officially removed from his position as a Police Superintendent at Şemdinli Police Department in Hakkari for ‘passing on information relating to the developments within the force and on non-FETO member personnel’ at the secret meetings he held with his FETO/PSS controller (handler) on a periodical basis’ and ‘acting on the directives of FETO’.
On orders from FETO, he has been spreading terrorist FETO propaganda over his Twitter account ‘@krgz_turgay.
He acknowledges FETO as an organization at social media forums he takes part in though he denies receiving any instructions from FETO.
He worked as an associate professor at Pennsylvania University Lock Haven between 2018 and 2020. Currently he is an assistant professor on criminal law at Minot State University in North Dakota.
He is currently tried for ‘Being a Member of an Armed Terrorist Organization’ and he is the subject of an arrest warrant issued by Turkish courts.
