FETO/PSS Leadership

Predominantly operating overseas, FETO/PSS runs its activities mainly from its headquarters based in the US and preserves its centralized feature in terms of its leadership. As long as F. GULEN is alive, committees/ boards and similar entities within the organization hold no significance. Changes to its structure and names could only be made through the leader’s orders. Prominent figures within the organization yearn for power and desire to be positioned as close to the leader as possible. As such, the Credentials Committee will have greater importance during the phase that will begin after the death of Fetullah GULEN.

In the interim, due to strains observed in summoning the members of the Credentials Committee living in different states in the US or in other countries, an Executive Board has been established from among Credentials Committee members.

Following the recent reshuffles, the Executive Board consists of the following names: Ismet AKSOY, Cevdet TURKYOLU, Muhammed CETIN, Ekrem DUMANLI, Talip BUYUK, Serif Ali TEKALAN, Abdullah AYMAZ, Barbaras KOCAKURT, Mehmet Vehbi YAVUZLAR, Naci TOSUN, Adem KALAC.

The worldwide so called educational activities of the organization are run through its education institutions based around the globe and is divided into continents. Within this context, Mehmet Vehbi YAVUZLAR (Pennsylvania) in the North American continent, Huseyin KARAKUS in Europe continent (Frankfurt) and Talip BUYUK (London) in the Asia and Africa continents, lead the current educational activities of the organization.

The historical “Country Imam” practice of the organization is still in progress. However, the country imams located in Africa, Middle East and Asia have been running their activities “remotely” from western countries, where they reside, due to security concerns.

Another entity within the organization is the “Mullah” group, the members of which are exclusively raised by F. GULEN himself, are considered the moral elements of the organization’s functioning mechanism and are innate candidates to executive positions.
